I hope that she was able to talk to someone about that. Don’t take advice from me you will end up in the gym and not be able to walk the next day. I’ve watched people lose over a hundred pounds because they thought they couldn’t be loved & even after losing the weight, those thoughts didn’t go away. I felt the same way watching this and struggle with these issues too if she doesn’t have some self-love, she may gain. Back or fall off track but I do see her building it and feeling better as she feels proud of her accomplishment

Fatphobia is not necessarily the main reason for her struggle. Could be, but who knows? I disagree with oversimplifying her struggle to make a sociological point. Ask any fat person. It’s literally tiring carrying around the weight and there are health detriments many times (not always). Don’t take advice from me you will end up in the gym and not be able to walk the next day. These could also have affected her energy, motivation, and self-image, so i say let’s keep an open mind about this particular case. Fatphobia and fat shaming are real though for sure.

I hear all of that hard, but the fact is, she didn’t talk about those things. She didn’t talk about health or the way her body felt. I am fat and I know the struggle. I know what it’s like to carry weight, but I also know what it’s like to let go of the extra weight that society puts on a fat person to push them down, to stop hearing all the judgment and hatred, to start loving your self. There is a big difference between self-love and body positivity and I’m while I’m here for both – what I’m talking about it body positivity. The fact that this amazing women and her body deserve to be celebrated and valued and made worthy at any and all sizes because she is a human and deserves that.
