“Halloween 2”, Carpenter and Debra Hill wrote the script and screenplay for the second movie. Carpenter has been vocal that he never felt that the second movie was his best or his favorite.
Jason just kill it shirt
If this isn’t good, I’m just gonna continue in the universe that “Halloween”, “Halloween 2” and “Halloween H20” are the only ones that exist in that timeline and “Halloween 4” and “Halloween 5” exist in that particular timeline, as if the other films do not exist or a stand-alone. This is what destroys franchises, taking what has already been established over several decades and just throwing all of that in the trash. Jason just kill it. Only directed the first Halloween and he’s a producer and a consultant on the new one so he doesn’t have final say, but the people actually making the film want his input.

He’s an executive producer, not directing. I don’t get this first they said it would be a sequel to 1981’s Halloween II which would make sense because it takes place on the same night now they’re saying it’s gonna be a direct sequel to Halloween (1978) so how can they make it a sequel without some way continuing the events of Halloween II? Part 2 saw Laurie in the hospital and Michael continuing his hunt for her there. That entire concept may be abandoned. Perhaps after Michael disappears from the lawn, Laurie gets taken home. Or to the police station. Or taken directly into hiding. Any number of possible alternatives could be the premise for the new sequel. I think it could be pretty interesting if we fans can keep an open mind.
