I am a breast cancer survivor. I get exactly what you mean. Early detection can save your life, but it is not the only thing that can do it. To live is to fight breast cancer survivor Some forms spread quicker than others, some patients respond differently or not at all. Again, I get what you mean..

I’ve worked in spinal cord injury research, and I sympathize with people that need to be treated before end stage. But please do not proclaim to the world that early detection does not save lives. We get you, dear! We do. You have a point. A very experiential and heartfelt point. But for the love of everything you believe in, do not undermine the importance of early detection. Otherwise we should all stop going for “check ups” at the doctor. I agree it allows us to live whatever time we have left with our families. To live is to fight breast cancer survivor 4 years ago I thought I was gonna die. I spent the next 3 years after my diagnosis in fear that it was coming back. It’s taken me a long time to get where I am today. I didn’t elaborate on my statement. Early detection buys women and men time. It may increase your chance for survival. Early screening mammograms have not decreased the mortality rate of breast cancer. Also yes they have increased the survival rate of some breast cancers but not all. We still have a long way to go. Not all of them have a 99% cure rate. I may not be the favorite person right now but I’m not ignorantly spewing my thoughts.
Take this tee and be cool!
Disley did you even read the article and research posted above? Increased mammogram screenings has not changed the mortality rate of breast cancer. Please provide evidence based research to back your opinion. I’m in no way saying dont screen, dont get check, dont do anything. I’m saying their moto is wrong. And everyone is buying what their saying yet the numbers are different. I pray no one has to go through what me and my family did when I was 33. 14 months to try and stay alive. Chemo, radiation and 10 surgeries. I want a cure. Research. Women to live. Their daughters to not live in fear. My daughter has to start screening at 23! She should be living a care free life at that age not worried about cancer.
